Last year Crane High School had a program made especially the female students. The program is called Q.W.E.E.N.S. (quality women engaging, evolving into themselves). This program was made to help conduct themselves as ladies; to choose the right path to go in, and to learn a little bit about themselves as growing young women.

The lovely Ms. Day ran this program and she really believes in the ladies in the program, some of the participants included myself, Shandlyra Witherspoon, Talia Brumfield, Taneisha Anderson, and Temeka Shapherd. We all were friends in this program, beginning to end. When I first joined this program I thought it was going to be boring with people talking about safe sex, but I was wrong. It was a whole lot more than that. We talked about things we liked and disliked, relationships, and haters. We also learned what our birthdays mean with the help of a book that tells us about them, for example if you were born on a Sunday then you’re a Sunday child and your name is seta. If I could I would do it all over again without any second thoughts.
